With the presentation of its 2017 consolidated financial statements, adesso AG outperforms its adjusted forecast. Financial year 2017 set new records in terms of sales and profits (EBITDA). Sales grew by 23 % to EUR 321.6 million and the operating result (EBITDA) by 8 % to EUR 25.4 million. With the continuation of the ambitious growth strategy and higher investments in the development of new products, 2018 is set to see an increase in both sales and EBITDA.

It was a very special moment for adesso when senior UX designer Michael Schiblon started his new position on 2 January 2018 – because Schiblon is adesso’s 3,000th employee. This figure symbolises the huge increase in the number of employees at the IT provider which is systematically implementing its ambitious growth plans.

Asset manager Union Investment has contracted IT service provider adesso AG with developing a mobility architecture to expand the company’s enterprise mobility strategy. In future, Union Investment employees will be able to handle key business processes on the go using Smartphone applications. A new era in enterprise mobility at the investment company has dawned.

adesso AG recorded the most successful financial year in its 20-year history in 2016. The IT service provider’s sales rose by 33 % to EUR 260.4 million, while operating earnings increased by 61 % to EUR 23.1 million. Once again, the majority of sales growth – 19 % – was generated organically in 2016 and above all in Germany. Sales increased in all of adesso’s core sectors.

As co-organiser and main sponsor of the Bitkom “Design meets IT” event to be held at “Dortmunder U”, a centre for the arts and creativity in Dortmund, adesso AG will invite visitors to the occasion on 4 May. It will focus on the question of how the IT industry, and above all modern software development, can learn from the field of design. The event is free.

The IT service provider adesso AG is expanding the business scope of its subsidiary adesso hosting services GmbH and giving it a new name: from 1 April 2017, the company will provide comprehensive hosting, application management, and managed services from a single sources, and will be renamed adesso as a service GmbH.

adesso AG is developing a comprehensive IT solution for the long-term care of patients with depression within the scope of the German Federal Ministry of Research and Education’s (BMBF) research project STEADY. It aims to identify when afflicted patients are heading towards a depressive episode early on, on the basis of pertinent indicators, which are recorded and analysed using sensors in the patient’s environment. adesso is working on this project together with the German Foundation for Depression Relief (Stiftung Deutsche Depressionshilfe) and Leipzig University.
