adesso Security Services: The new generation of IT security

Building on the success of previous customer projects in the area of security, the consulting and IT service provider adesso Switzlerland is expanding its portfolio with additional security services. Customers are now served by the ‘Cloud, Data & Security’ line of business, which has extensive security expertise.

Due to increased digitalisation, data security and cybersecurity have become significantly more important. In addition, regulatory requirements such as the new Data Protection Act create further challenges. This is where the expanded security offerings of the consulting and IT service provider adesso come in: Customers can continue to concentrate on their core business, while IT security is partially or fully covered by adesso as required. In addition to its existing portfolio of security services, adesso now offers its customers comprehensive services in the areas of information security, cybersecurity, IT risk management, and data protection. The offers from the service areas range from security assessments to conceptual and technical consulting to managed security services such as CISO as a Service or Managed Incident Response.

Since the beginning of the year, adesso Switzerland has been certified according to the ISO 27001 standard in addition to ISO 9001 and now guides its customers on the way to ISO/IEC 27001 certification, supporting them in meeting the requirements demanded by the revised Swiss Data Protection Act as of September 2023. In addition to Data Protection Officer as a Service, adesso supports its customers with its fully comprehensive and established solution ‘Prime (Privacy managed excellence)’, which ensures a structured set-up and operation of a compliant data protection management system.

Michael Ruppe recently joined adesso Switzerland as Chief Information Security Officer and in his role is responsible for maintaining and upholding information security at all of the company's locations in Switzerland. Ruppe is certified as CISSP, CISM, CDPSE, CRISC, CCSK, CEH (Master), CNDA, CND, ECES, as well as ISO 27001 lead implementer and BSI IT security officer. He is positive about the fact that information security is woven into adesso's entire value chain and is developed continuously. Ruppe says: "Information security is an indis-pensable integral part of all projects and services for customers, regardless of industry or task."
