As of 1 July 2026, René Frei will take on the role of Head of Competence Center Microsoft at adesso Schweiz. In this role, he will be responsible for the strategic and operational expansion of the Microsoft business as well as the further development of the corresponding solution and service portfolio.
René Frei is moving to adesso from Avanade. Prior to this, he held various positions within the Microsoft ecosystem. Thanks to his many years of experience, he brings a deep understanding of the requirements of corporate clients across different industries and has first-hand knowledge of the opportunities and challenges of modern cloud and platform technologies.
In his new role, René Frei will drive the further expansion of the Competence Center Microsoft and sharpen the offering around Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, as well as modern data and AI platforms. "With this reinforcement, we are sending a clear signal for the expansion of our Microsoft business and for sustainable growth in the Swiss market," emphasises Dominik Bischof, member of the Executive Board of adesso Schweiz.
