Service Provisioning Tool - Integration Layer (SPT-IL)

The project

SPT-IL has been developed and maintained over several years with the support of adesso Schweiz AG. In the 2017 SPT-IL hardware update project, adesso provided advice on technical procedures and the use of tools, and implemented the necessary software adaptations. The migration work was carried out in collaboration with staff responsible for applications at Swisscom.

Java 8, Spring, Spring Boot, JBoss EAP 7, JEE 7, Strut 1.2, Maven, Jakarta Cactus, Arquillian, JUnit, Oracle DB, GIT, GitLab, Jenkins, Docker, SonarQube.

The result

The release, build and test processes were reconfigured as automated processes. To do so, Swisscom decided to use Docker as the container platform, JBoss as the application server and Jenkins as the automation server. The processes were implemented by a team from adesso Schweiz AG. No functional adaptations were made to SPT-IL; however, adesso transferred and adapted elements used in connection with both hardware and middleware.
