adesso Augsburg introduces itself

Our office in Bavaria’s third largest city is located in the middle of the former textile district – a highly modern urban commercial area for art, culture, business and living. Rushing streams and canals wind through the textile district as witnesses to the city’s and industry’s history. In summer, these waterways are popular meeting places for lovers of sun and water alike. It is a beautiful place to relax during lunch or for friendly get-togethers in the evening.

In addition to cafés and restaurants, shopping malls, museums and theatres are also within walking distance. Augsburg’s main railway station is also only a short tram ride away.

>> We at adesso are gradually expanding our range of professional expertise at the Augsburg office. In the process, developing our corporate culture is of particular importance, as it is a prerequisite and driver for our growth plans. We work together with our local adesso subsidiaries to be a Great Place to Work.

Standortmanager: Niklas Spitczok von Brisinski

Culinary

The Martini Park building complex offers a canteen with a diverse weekly menu. If you want to go for a little stroll before or after dinner, there is an old-fashioned corner shop with small dishes as well as bakeries and supermarkets in the immediate vicinity.

For meat lovers, the Schlachthof amidst the historic buildings of the Schlachthof Quartier offers a special treat. For special occasions, people meet at the Magnolia restaurant around the corner in the Glaspalast.

Special features

What does the office have to offer its employees – a roof terrace, poker tournaments, special events at the office, employee breakfasts and so on?

The Augsburg office offers something uncommon for adesso: the charm of working in an old villa. At this small location, there is no shortage of vitamins in the form of fruit or employee breakfasts, and there is also a video game console as well as an accompanying after-work fridge.

After work

In addition to its historical museums, a zoo and renown strolls through the old town, beyond its borders, Augsburg is of course known as the Fuggerstadt. The Fuggerei is described as a ‘city within the city’. The roots of this picturesque settlement date back to the sixteenth century, and its founding can be traced to an endowment from the famous merchant Jakob Fugger. The Lechviertel is part of Augsburg’s old town and is certainly its most beautiful district. For a whole 135 kilometres, the arms of the river and canals of the Lech wind through this lovely district, which is often referred to as ‘Little Venice’ – some Italian flair in the middle of Bavaria!
